• How do I place an order?
1. Click the thumbnail of the item you would like to see.
2. If you like the item, choose the shirt style you want. Once you have picked a style you can pick the size and color you want. Once you have done this, just click ADD TO CART and then checkout or keep shopping.
3. Continue to the shopping cart by entering your shipping details, choosing your payment method, verifying your details and so forth. Make sure when entering your credit card information that you enter the EXACT BILLING ADDRESS that you have listed with your credit card company.
4. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Illinois residents must pay sales tax of 9%.
5. Please note: if you want to change or cancel your order it must be done within the same business day (by 6:00 pm CST).


• What payment methods do you accept?
  We accept most major credit cards (Visa, American Express, Master Card), debit cards, and PayPal. All prices are in U.S. dollars. Illinois residents must pay a sales tax of 9%.


• Is it safe to use my credit card on your site?
  Strange Cargo takes your security seriously. At no point in the ordering process do we store your credit card information. We own our SSL certificate and all billing transactions are done through secure servers to ensure your safety.
  
  
• Can I pay for my order with a check or money order?
  Sorry, but we currently do not accept checks or money orders online.


• Do you sell wholesale?
  You are more then welcome to contact us at wholesale@strangecargo.com. Let us know how many of a particular shirt you need and the sizes you want, and we will get back to you with a price. We will try to accommodate any order as fast as possible.


• How do I change or cancel my orders?
  Please contact us with the change immediately at orders@strangecargo.com or call us toll-free at 1-800-572-2746 (Mon-Fri from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm CST). You cannot change your order once the t-shirt has been made.


• Why can't I order more than one size of the same t-shirt and color?
  When customers buy more than one shirt in the same color in different sizes, we have to refund that customer for the extra shirts he/she ordered and are stuck with a shirt that nobody wants. If you must do this, we charge a 50% restocking fee of the shirts returned. This also applies to the same image on different colored shirts of the same size or consecutive sizes. We appreciate your understanding.


• How do I use this discount code?
  1. Browse the site and add the items you want to your shopping cart.
  2. After adding all the items to your cart, click on the Continue Checkout button.
  3. If you haven't done it already, login, then select the shipping and billing address, and also the credit card information.
  4. On the Review page of the checkout process, enter your code in the box under Coupon & Gift Certificate Codes then click the Apply button.
  5. Your discount will appear below in your Order Summary as Coupon Discount.

• How are my items shipped?
  Within the United States we use the United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail as our standard shipping method. The cost of shipping a t-shirt is $5.00. For multiple t-shirts the price doesn't go up - order all you want and we will ship your order for only $5.00. The $5.00 flat rate shipping offer only applies to orders within the United States. See below for International shipping information.


• When will I get my order?
  We ship our items within 1-2 business days of receiving the order. We try our best to ship the next business day. You should receive your item within 5-7 business days. If you place an order after 6:00 pm CST on a Friday evening or during the weekend, your order will be processed and shipped no later than Tuesday.


• Do you offer overnight shipping?
  No, but we offer UPS's 2nd Day Air, so your shirt should arrive by the end of the second business day after shipping. Please note that UPS cannot ship to P.O. Box's nor do they deliver on weekends. Prices vary depending upon your location.


• Do you offer in-store pickup?
  Yes, we offer in-store pickup at our shop in Chicago, IL. All you need to do select in-store pickup as your shipping method and wait for our email confirming that your shirt is ready for pickup. Please note:
• All in-store pickups are at 3448 North Clark Street in Chicago, Illinois.
• Orders received before 5:00 pm CST will generally be available for in-store pickup after 2:00 pm CST the following day.
• Orders placed after 2:00 pm CST on a Friday will be available for in-store pickup after 2:00 pm CST the following Tuesday.
• You must have your order number with you for in-store pickup. Bring a copy of the order confirmation email or ready for pickup email you were sent.


• Do you offer international shipping?
  We ship to any foreign country with service via United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail International. Average delivery time is 7-10 days from the date of shipment. Please note that your country may apply duties and tariffs to your order when it enters your country. We have no control over this, sorry.

• What is your return/exchange policy?
  Our return/exchange policy is simple: We want you to be happy with your purchase. If for any reason you want to return or exchange an item, please follow the instructions below, which are also on the back of your invoice. If you have lost your invoice, please download this return form and send it with your package.
  • You will need to include your invoice in your package so we have your name, email address, phone number, and order number - we will need this information to complete your request! If you have lost your invoice, please download this return form and send it with your package. You may want to photocopy your invoice/return form for your records.
  • All t-shirts to be returned or exchanged must have their original tag still attached to the t-shirt! Strange Cargo will not accept returns or exchanges for any t-shirts that have been washed, dried, damaged, or stained. This includes if the shirt has any odors, such as cigarette smoke.
  • T-shirts must be returned or exchanged within 30 days from date of purchase.
  • If a refund is due it will be made to the customer via their original method of payment (minus shipping/handling charges).
  • Shipping costs on any non-damaged or non-flawed returns or exchanges will be the customer's responsibility. Strange Cargo will only pay for shipping on defective merchandise not caused by the customer.

  • Customers who order two of the same image in different sizes and/or the same image on two different color t-shirts and then send one back for a refund will be charged a 50% restocking fee for the item returned. In other words, we will only refund half your money. When you do this, we can no longer sell this t-shirt, which costs us extra money in time, labor and materials. • What is your backorder policy?
  We do not backorder items. We do our best to ensure that everything on the website is in stock. In the rare event an item is out of stock, we will let you know we cannot fulfill your order at that time. If you order several items and just one of the items is out of stock, we will tell you we cannot fulfill that one item, but will still process and ship the rest of your order. If you prefer, we can email you a notice when that item becomes available.

• What is custom lettering?
  You pick your font, color, and message and put it on any shirt that you want.


• Is this difficult to do?
  Easy as pie. Just go to the custom letter page and design away.


• Can I use a heart on my shirt instead of the word love?
  No problem. Just write the word "love" in your message and check the box that indicates you want a heart and we will take it from there. It will be a red heart that is a proportional size to your font choice.

• Can I put numbers on the back of a shirt under my name?
  Once again, no problem. Just check the box that indicates you want do this. Then, pick the color and enter up to three numbers. We will do the rest.

• What type of letters do you use?
  We use flock/felt letters. These are those fuzzy letters just like back in the day.

• Is this done by machine?
  Heck no! We lay out each shirt by hand. This gives the shirt that old school look. Please remember that because this is not an exact science a letter could be a bit askew.

• Can I get upper and lower case letters?
  All our fonts only come in upper case lettering.

• Will the words on my shirt be laid out as I entered them in the text box?
  Not necessarily. Because of size constraints we allow only a certain amount of characters per line. When we actually layout your shirt we will take a look at the overall content of the shirt and lay the words out so the shirt looks as good as possible.

• Can I return the shirt if I don’t like it or I ordered the wrong size or I wanted a different saying?
  Absolutely not. There are no refunds whatsoever on custom letter shirts.

• How long does this take?
  No longer then ordering a t-shirt with an image. We will ship it out in 24-48 hours.

• How do I order multiples of the same shirt?
  You can change the quantity in the shopping cart IF YOU WANT IT THE EXACT SAME SIZE AND EVERYTHING. Or, you can just make another shirt if you need it in a different size. If you want a lot of shirts just call us at 1-800-57-Cargo or talktous@strangecargo.com and we will help you.

• What if I made a mistake and contact you immediately?
  You must contact us by phone or email by 5:00 pm CST to take care of the problem. There are no exceptions to this rule.

• Why are you so strict with these rules?
  After being in business for 25 years we know that we have to lay everything out in black and white or else we will get burned. And, we have been burned plenty of times.

• How do I wash your shirts?
  We print great t-shirts! Our own special ink formulas are soft and our t-shirts are the highest quality. The feel of our vintage transfers vary, but are always high quality. With proper care our shirts will keep on giving. We suggest that the best way to wash them is inside out and in cold water and tumble dry on low. If you really want to guarantee that they will last, hang dry them. Please do not iron our shirts. Just love them and they will love you back.


• How do you measure your shirts?
  Check out our t-shirt facts page for everything you would like to know about the brands we use, their sizing charts, and how we measure our shirts.


• Are your t-shirts pre-printed? Why do you do what you do?
  Each shirt is printed on a per-order basis. We do this so you can pick out whatever combination of shirt and print you want. This process gives you the most choices possible. You pick the image, shirt, and color you want.

• What is your privacy policy?
  Strange Cargo respects your right to privacy. We will never share, rent, sell, or otherwise distribute your personal information to anyone!
  
  When placing an order on our website we require information such as your name, phone number, email address, shipping address, and billing information. This information is used to process your order and for no other purpose. At no time during this process will we store any of your credit card information.
  
  Once you register on our site we will have all your personal information to help you place orders, but not your credit card information – this you will have to give every time you place an order.
  
  When placing an order we give you the option to opt-in to our mailing list. This mailing list is for the purposes of letting you know about sales, discounts, and other information pertaining to Strange Cargo.

Junior's/Women's T-Shirts

Basic T-shirt
American Apparel brand 50/50 Basic T-shirt (BB301) .
This poly-cotton T-Shirt has a slightly scooped neckline. It’s super soft. It’s really stretchy. And, it feels just like your favorite thrift store shirts that are thin and soft. It fits like all American Apparel t-shirts. It shrinks about 2-5%. *Please note that the Heather gray shirt is 50/25/25 (50% poly 25% cotton 25% rayon)

Long Sleeve T-shirt
American Apparel brand Long Sleeve Shirt (2307).
This is a 100% cotton shirt (they don’t make a 50/50 long sleeve yet). It fits a little small and shrinks about 10%. So if you are unsure about your size go a little bigger.

Cap Sleeve T-shirt
Alternative Apparel br/and. Super soft 100% cotton t-shirt. This thin shirt does not shrink more than 5% in size. The neck is fuller than on a basic t-shirt.

Boy-Beater Tank
American Apparel brand Boy-Beater Tank (3308).
100% cotton ribbed tank with thick straps. The ribbing on this shirt is fairly wide; images printed on it may look a little stretched when you have on the shirt. It shrinks about 10%.

Spaghetti Tank
American Apparel brand Spaghetti Tank (4311).
100% cotton fine ribbed tank with thin spaghetti straps. The ribbing on this shirt is much finer than on the Boy Beater tank, and there's no problem printing on it. These shirts will shrink about 5-10%.

Basic T-shirt
American Apparel brand 50/50 Basic T-shirt (BB401) & Royal Apparel brand T-shirt*
This poly-cotton t-shirt is super soft. It’s really stretchy. And, it feels just like your favorite thrift store shirt that is thin and soft. It shrinks about 2-5%. Please note: that the light blue t-shirt is 100% cotton. They don’t make it in 50/50. It will shrink about 10%. Please note: The Heather gray shirt is 50/25/25 (50% poly 25% cotton 25% rayon) *See below for the Royal Apparel description and sizing chart.

Long Sleeve T-shirt
Fruit of the Loom brand Long Sleeve Shirt.
A 50/50 poly/cotton long-sleeve shirt that fits like any other long-sleeve t-shirt. It shrinks about 5%.
